Sundström Safety is investing in Swedish handball. Both in terms of breadth and elite. The new partnership with Swedish handball means that Sundström Safety will become a partner for both the men’s and women’s team as well as the Youth Swedish championship.
– Here we can participate and contribute to both women’s, girl’s, men’s and boy’s handball at both elite and breadth level. That is very important to us, says Ivan Sundström, Chairman of the Board of Sundström Safety.
In addition to partnerships with the Swedish national teams and the Youth Championships, Sundström Safety has also purchased IHF rights for the women’s handball World Cup in Japan, which starts on November 30th.
– Handball is one of Sweden’s most equal sports in terms of athletes and it is of the utmost importance that the sponsorships we enter fulfill certain requirements in terms of values, equality issues and community engagement. We definitely feel that handball does just that and we are very glad to be part of one of our most beloved sports, says Ivan Sundström.
The popular national teams in handball are both well-known and loved, but the new agreement also means that Sundström Safety sponsors the stars of the future. Both on and off the pitch. In the Youth Championship, about 600 teams from all over Sweden participate each year and about 2,500 handball matches for both boys and girls are played before a winner between the ages of 14, 16 and 18 is announced. In connection with the final stage of the youth championship, a Fair Play prize will also be awarded with Sundström Safety as the sender.
– For us, it is important to activate our sponsorship, and we do this partly in the form of the Fair Play Prize in the youth championship, where the team that acts best based on Fair Play is rewarded. For us, it is important that you act exemplarily both on and off the pitch, says Ivan Sundström.
Stefan Lövgren, CEO of Svenska Handbollslandslaget AB, is pleased that Sundström Safety is becoming a new partner with Swedish Handball.
– We welcome Sundström Safety to an extended partnership with the youth championship as a new right. I am extremely pleased that the partnership will result in the Fair Play Prize and our shared view of values around handball.
